Swedish Crown Princess Victoria has long been considered a fashion icon in royal circles as she contours to dazzle fans with her stylish outfits during outings. During an overseas trip, the 46-year-old daughter of Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia was spotted in a green power suit that anyone can afford.
During an official trip to the United States to attend the Green Transition Summit in California with her husband, Prince Daniel, the princess’ style garnered the media’s attention as she rocked an affordable green suit purchased from a popular high-street retailer.
Victoria was pictured in an emerald-colored blazer, or the “Lapelless Fitted Blazer” from Zara, per Hello! Magazine.
The princess paired the fashionable yet affordable blazer with a pair of matching green pants also made by Zara. Reports suggest that the green blazer only costs as little as $70, whereas the pants cost around $55.
The piece’s sleek design includes inverted lapels and shoulder pads, which allows the blazer to sit effortlessly as the crown princess got down to business in the U.S. during her trip. Victoria added a black, white, and green scarf to accompany the green power suit, which helped offset the emerald color. The Swedish princess combined the suit and scarf with a pair of elegant “Scarlet Black Leather Pumps” by Gianvito Rossi, a footwear brand adored by many female royals, including Princess Catherine of Wales.
The Swedish monarchy’s future heir finished her outfit with the Yves Saint Laurent “Le Maillon Black Leather Satchel Bag.”
It appears that even royals, such as Crown Princess Victoria, can be fashionable without breaking the bank. But she isn’t the only royal who’s been pictured in a suit jacket from Zara.
None other than the Princess of Wales, Catherine, was also pictured in the exact same suit jacket, only in a beige color, back in 2022 (per Page Six). During a trip to London’s Little Village Brent a few years ago, the Princess of Wales was pictured in the blazer with a white T-shirt and black trousers, showing that royal outfits can be both minimalistic and fashionable.
The crown princess was pictured in a different suit from Zara during a separate public event. In that case, Victoria was photographed in a pink suit from the same retailer.
Victoria, known for her perfect pairing abilities, matched the pink suit with a soft-blue colored “Carre Satchel Bag” by YSL, which worked beautifully with her outfit. Instead of large heels, the crown princess opted for a subtle pair of “Heeled Beige Suede Ankle Boots” from Marzio Stockholm.
Princess Victoria is doing a great job of proving that fashionable clothing fit for royal events doesn’t need to cost thousands of dollars. It shouldn’t break the bank to feel great in a powerful suit or blazer, and for those who want to mimic the look of royals such as Crown Prince Victoria or Princess Catherine, now we can — by simply shopping at Zara.
