Trooping the Colour is a yearly military event in honor of the King’s birthday but an ongoing battle will prevent the Princess of Wales from being present, at least for the rehearsal

The Princess has been absent from the public eye since her abdominal surgery.
Prior to the surgery she had made a public announcement that she had been diagnosed with Cancer and would be undergoing treatment.
Privacy in a Difficult Time
Since the diagonosis and treatment the expectation has been that there would be less visibility, and that Kate would not return to work until she was medically cleared.
Reports have been made that she was running errands in public, but there are no photographs and there is no confirmed evidence.
A Date The King Won’t Miss
Despite his own battle with cancer, King Charles III will still attend his birthday bash.
This year he’ll be in a carriage, unlike last year when he appeared on horseback.

For over 200 years “The Trooper of the Colour” has been used to celebrate the birth of the British Sovereign.
You can buy tickets, and it goes from 10am until 12:30pm, featuring 1400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians.
